What is Renewed Horizon Counseling?
Renewed Horizon is a Christian counseling practice that serves individuals, couples, families, and teens to address difficulties in life. It is a place to find guidance, healing, and hope when life feels hopeless and unmanageable.

Where is your office located?
At this time, Teri is offering virtual therapy services using videoconferencing technology similar to Skype. The site she uses is a confidential and HIPAA compliant format designed specifically for therapists, which offers security for clients. This format offers clients the convenience of not having to commute while receiving quality services from the comfort of their home. What equipment do I need for videoconferencing?
Clients will need access to a computer, webcam, and microphone. Most newer computers have all of these built in. Also iPhones and iPads will work. You will also need a strong internet connection. The ideal internet connection is a Cable or DSL with minimum download speed of 3Mbps and minimum upload speed of 384Kbps.
What can I expect?
Teri is a root cause therapist, which means she is always looking for any underlying issues that explain more about your current struggle. It is important for Teri to get to know your story and parts of your history that will help her understand more of what’s going on. As Teri discovers any issues, she will educate you about it, provide you with resources, and help you build tools to make changes.
Once you set up an appointment, Teri will send you all the needed information for the session and a link to complete paperwork.
What number can I call to get more information?
Do you take insurance?
Teri does not take insurance, however, she does offer an insurance ready receipt for clients to submit a claim through their out of network benefits. For more information on coverage and how to submit a claim, please contact your insurance provider directly.
How much does it cost?
Sessions cost $150 per 50 minutes. Teri accepts Visa, MasterCard, and Discover cards. She also accepts Health Saving Account cards that work like a credit card.
How long does a session last?
Sessions last 50 minutes with the following 10 minutes used to wrap up your discussion and schedule your next appointment.
How do I set up an appointment?
Please go to the appointment page and fill out your information. Teri will be in contact within 24 hours to answer any questions and to set up an appointment.
How often will I need sessions?
Most clients start with weekly sessions in order for Teri to gain a better understanding of the issues and to gather some history. As time goes on it is common to switch to every other week, once a month, and as needed depending on the presenting issues and progress made. All clients have different needs for session frequency.
What is Teri’s availability for sessions?
Monday: 8am – 9pm
Tuesday: 8am – 9pm
Wednesday: 8am – 3pm
Thursday: 8am – 4pm
Since therapy is done virtually, does it matter where I live?
Teri is currently licensed in Florida and Indiana. Due to this, she is able to see clients that live anywhere in those states. Contact Renewed Horizon for more information if you live in another area. Some states offer options for you to receive services from out of state providers.
How do I know if a therapist is a good fit for me?
Finding a therapist can feel overwhelming as it’s important to find one you connect with. Teri believes it is valuable for people to seek out the opinion from someone they trust and respect for a word of mouth referral. Testimonials are also a helpful way to get insight. It can similarly be helpful to read information a therapist has written to see if their philosophies are a good fit with your own.
